This is an interesting article about testing blood supplies from the Red Cross for antibodies to COVID-19. It appears that some of the blood collected from donors in December of 2019 already had antibodies to COVID-19, suggesting that the virus was circulating in the US before we previously thought. I gave blood a couple of weeks ago and I am glad to know that donated blood can be used to save lives and do epidemiological research. 

This information provides another reason do continue researching the viruses that cause AFM. If those viruses ever become more contagious and lead to an epidemic we will want to have as much information as possible to combat them and prevent the terrible consequences of infection to a very young population.
