Journal entry by Crystal Dunham —
Aarons having a good day today. He was moved from ICU to PCU at 1am last night. He doesn’t mind being in a new room but the bed was too short for him. They brought him a bed extender this afternoon so now he can lay his legs down flat.
The neurology assistant came in today as well and he removed Aarons last drain from his surgery on Wednesday.
Aaron had some PT this morning. He is able to stand up with the help of only 1 nurse instead of 2 today, he also stood on his own while the PT trainer got his sheets on his bed. Aaron is a little wobbly when he stands but he’s getting in and out of bed a little quicker.
He has been sleeping the majority of the day and wakes up when Drs come to see him. He was able to eat some of his breakfast this morning and fell asleep shortly after that. Lunch was a little better, he was able to finish most of it. He just finished dinner and ate the most this time.
I’m sure he will be wanting to go to bed early tonight.
