The surgeons nurse practitioner just came in. They’re trying to release him this afternoon. They’re going to be trying a new blood thinner on him. But first, running it through to the pharmacy at the hospital to see how much it would be through insurance. If it’s too expensive, then they’ll do Warfarin, which is dirt cheap. But if they do the Warfarin, he will have to do INR checks monthly. Hoping to only have him on blood thinners for 3-6 months. One of the other doctors is running tests that will take a few weeks to get back. Trying to see if it’s hereditary
