Hi everyone,I didn't realize it's been so long since my last post. Carol continues to do well, other than dealing w a nasty cold that she's been fighting for a couple of weeks. She was well enough to get her hair cut this week, so she's on the mend for sure.I'm feeling fine and continue to be able to care for Carol. Last night I was complaining about life, when I was brought up short. I started praising God for all the care He has been giving to us. I realized how blessed we are. I was told at my last Dr check-up that my kidneys are in stage 3 shutdown. Sounds pretty bad huh? Actually they've been going downhill for a while now. On tax day my heart valve was replaced and I believe Dr Hershey was waiting to see if that would make my kidneys better. It does in some cases, but not this time. When I was in my early 30s I started taking medicine to help my body absorb calcium for my muscles. Now I'm 72 and my kidneys appear to not be tolerating the Calcitriol like they were. I'm taking half as much of it now. We'll see if that helps, and go from there.Hopefully I'll do better at keeping up w this post. Until next time,Steve
