The Possibilities Are Endless

Beginnings are scary; endings are usually sad. Fortunately, it is the middle that counts the most.

In 2013, Marsha Berman’s son Brad suffered a catastrophic stroke while training for the New York City Marathon. He lost consciousness as he was rushed to the hospital, and no one knew what to expect next.

That day, a journey began for Brad, his friends, and his family. Learning the cause of the stroke, putting faith in brilliant medical providers, and focusing on Brad’s recovery.

The journey tested Marsha’s strength as a mother. “You never know how strong you are until you have no choice,” Marsha said. “It is the most painful thing a mother can go through.”

Fortunately, Brad recovered and is the embodiment of what he used to be before the stroke. The lessons learned along the way were valuable and life-changing, and carry into the future for Brad and his entire family.
