Using CaringBridge

Message from CaringBridge CEO about Coronavirus

People using CaringBridge already have a lot on their minds—as you know first-hand. Adding into the mix the anxiety and uncertainty of a global pandemic … it’s a lot for anyone to handle.

So I’m sharing this note as a mom, caregiver to my father and the CEO of CaringBridge.

I want to remind you of the CaringBridge Vision: No one should go through a health journey alone. This applies to patients, caregivers, family, friends and everyone facing the what-ifs of coronavirus.

If you’re following a CaringBridge Journal, now is a great time to leave a Comment or to show support by clicking the heart icon. A little extra love goes a long way right now.

Also, if you know someone needing the support that comes through CaringBridge, please tell them about it.

I also wanted to make sure you know that the CaringBridge team here in Eagan, MN—all 44 of us—remains on duty. Because we’re a digital nonprofit, we are able to work remotely. That includes our Customer Care team, so if you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out.

In these days of added stress, I wish the best for you. And I thank you for all you do in making CaringBridge available for everyone who needs it.

Thanks so much for everything you do. I can't say enough about how much my CaringBridge helped me during my six month hospital stay in the CICU waiting for a heart transplant, and in the 4 months since. Being able to share my story and my updates with family and friends and also receive their support was tremendously helpful.

Thank you for all that you do. Caring Bridge was an invaluable resource for me as my beloved husband battled for his life in the ICU before finally succumbing to his disease. It was not only a way of keeping loved ones and friends in the loop, but was a very therapeutic outlet for me. I meant to, but didn’t, try to print out my journal for David Benjamin Ketroser, and all of the supportive responses my posts inspired. Is there any way of retrieving that now? The journal began towards the end of October, and ended a few days after his death on November 7th. I included Caring Bridge as a place for people to make financial donations/memorials in his name. Your service is so important. I cannot stress that enough. It got me through a very difficult time, and was a way to honor the love I had for my husband with every post. If I can be of any help to you in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. You are all angels on Earth. With tremendous admiration, respect, appreciation, and gratitude, Deidre
