Treat Them Right
Make a Body Scrub for a spa experience in their home shower. It takes two minutes. Mix together either 2 cups sugar (can be brown or granulated) and 1 cup carrier oil of your choice (olive oil is very moisturizing, as is coconut or jojoba). To add a nice and therapeutic fragrance, drop in 10 to 20 drops of essential oils. For starters, lavender is relaxing, peppermint is energizing, and neroli is spirit-lifting. Pour into a mason jar and tie a ribbon around the lid for a festive touch.
Start them off right every morning. Gather up a white coffee mug and oil-based paint Sharpie markers. Draw a design, a thank-you message, or favorite pattern onto the mug. Bake the mug in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees to set the paint. Extra points if you deliver the mug with a pound of their favorite beans or box of their go-to tea.

But essentially, this is how it works. Pick up a plain throw blanket at any store, as well as fabric paint. Cut out a pattern or shape from cardboard and affix corks to the backs of each piece of cardboard to make a stamp. Dip or brush paint on to your stencil and stamp onto the blanket. Each time they wrap up, they’ll think of you.
All Sewn Up
If you can sew a few stitches, this might be the project for you. Help your loved one get some rest by making them an eye mask or give them a virtual hug with a therapeutic shoulder wrap. Livestrong has great instructions too.
All you’ll need is enough fabric (think cool silk, snuggly flannel, or crisp cotton), rice, essential oils to scent, scissors, thread, and a sewing machine (or some hand-sewing skills and patience). Then, when they’re stressed or achy, they can take the wrap from the microwave or freezer and relax.
