Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. We have 3 people facing significant health challenges.
Jim: Jim was diagnosed with multiple myeoloma in February 2016. This is bone marrow cancer that is considered incurable by western medicine. The standard treatment currently is to undergo a 3 drug therapy (a type of chemotherapy) for 9 months, followed by a bone marrow transplant. The objective is to buy time vs. remission. Because this course of treatment is very harsh on the body and can have side effects that are as deadly as the cancer, we have chosen to use prayer as our first course of treatment, in conjunction with natural medicine protocols.
Lynn: As many of you know, Lynn is already a walking miracle, having faced stage 4 systemic mastocytosis (a rare, incurable leukemia of the mast cells) and survived through prayer and natural medicine. However, she still faces significant challenges in her endocrine system and edema that has eluded treatment. She is also the primary caregiver for Jim, Megan and Julia.
Megan: Megan was diagnosed with Lyme disease and multiple co-infections in January 2016. She is on multiple oral antibiotics as well as numerous probiotics and supplements.
Julia: Julia was diagnosed with Neuro-Lyme disease and several co-infections, including Babesia and Bartonella. She has an IV PICC line in her arm (since March 2016) and is on oral and IV antibiotics as well as numerous probiotics and supplements.
