Thank you for visiting.  Over the last 25 years, Zola has had reoccurring incidents with cancer.  During 2020, she has had two separate series of radiation.  In the spring, she had radiation on her lungs and in the fall, she received radiation on her urethra and shoulder bone.   In mid-December, she qualified for a clinical chemo study however her condition deteriorated quickly.  Her doctor did not feel she could handle the side effects of the study after cancer was shown to have spread into her lower spine.  Without this study, resources for treatment became limited and hospice assistance was recommended and accepted.  Zola elected to use the in-home hospice option.  Zola’s family hopes to keep her at home for as long as possible.
