Zoe Wright-Bell Zoe Wright Bell

Hello All,

We are reaching out to our family and friends to ask for support during a challenging time. About five weeks ago Zoe received a breast cancer diagnosis. The great news is that after further testing, we have learned that all of the markers are very positive. Essentially, it is Stage 1 and completely curable, but Zoe needs to go through a series of treatments.

The treatment plan thus far is that Zoe will have surgery on Dec 8th and then three to four weeks later one of two scenarios will happen. Zoe will either have 4-6 weeks of radiation by itself, or chemotherapy followed by radiation. We won’t know which of those two scenarios will happen until two weeks after the surgery.

There are a few different ways that we are asking our community for support. The first and valuable way that you can help is just to send prayers and good vibrations our way. Also, for people who are local and able, we will be sending out a calendar via this Caring Bridge website for supporting our family with meals while Zoe goes through treatment. (To sign up for email or text notifications, look for the "Follow Site" button at the top of the page.)

Regarding Sophia, we know that there is no getting around the fact that seeing her Mom not feeling well/sick during treatment will be challenging. Our vision is to have a community of support for her during this time. For people who are local and have kids, we may be asking if Sophia can do a playdate over at your house as needed. For people without kids, this could be a great opportunity for one-on-one time with Sophia.

One last way that you can give support if you are able is to donate to our fundraising campaign. Even with health insurance, when all is said and done we will have over $15,000 in out of pocket medical expenses (see link below).

We are really grateful for the support that we have received so far and the care Zoe is receiving. We will be sending out periodic emails to keep you updated as we move forward.

Thank you!

Zoe and Norman
