Welcome to Zoë's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. On November 30th, our family was told that our seventeen year old daughter, Zoë, has cancer. Before I continue, know that as of now we have total peace and are walking in faith. We don’t know much yet, but this is what we can share:
On the day before Thanksgiving, Zoë had exploratory surgery to check for endometriosis. She does have endometriosis, but it was removed. The doctor noticed that her appendix was abnormal and needed to be removed, and a second surgeon was next door and able to remove it.
On November 30th, we received the news from pathology that she had a carcinoid tumor in her appendix and that another spot was found when removing the endometriosis. We are waiting until January 8th to scan her because she needs ample time to heal from her recent procedure.
Right now, the main prayer request is for a clean scan on January 8th.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and supporting our family while we walk this journey. We are not a family who wants to hide in fear. We have decided to remain in each moment that God gives us and not live in the "what if" world. We are aware that this is going to be an emotional roller coaster ride, but currently, we have no doubt or worries. We are confident that this is the journey He has us on, and He will provide what we need. God has already shown His goodness in countless miracles; we know that He is trustworthy and that He has gone before us. Please join us in our space!!! Please share so everyone can pray.
