Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

Zoe was diagnosed with Depressive Disorder (mood disorder, different than situational or temporary depression) and Anxiety Disorder when she was six years old.  At that time, there were some concerns that eventually we would see symptoms of another disorder, specifically Bipolar Disorder, formerly known as Manic Depression.  With regular therapy, we were able to hold of medicating her until she turned nine.  She's been treated via medication for almost a year and half and it made a very positive impact on her moods.  Recently, though, Zoe's moods and behavior have changed.  For the past five weeks we have been in many doctors offices and have undergone a number of tests to determine what is happening, as she has become self-destructive and has attempted to harm herself multiple times.    We've set up this site so that we can keep friends and family updated easily as we go through the next few weeks on the journey to a potentially new diagnosis.
