I’ve went from one extreme to the next riding this awful Covid roller coaster not knowing what to believe (politics, media, healthcare, family and friends with differing views, etc).  I wasn’t concerned about Covid with my kids especially from everything I had heard. It is causing complications in so many adults... some are people we know and love but I haven't heard of any kids personally until now with complications. Zions initial symptoms 12/9/21 (1 month ago!!!) were- low grade fever for 24 hrs ranging from 100.4-100.6 and severe headache that didn’t last long. He bounced back immediately and acted like his active self... I easily could have missed he had Covid had his PCP not wanted his 10 year old sister tested two days prior (also mild symptoms of low grade fever and sore throat). Our entire family of 6 (5 confirmed positive) have been sick and now on the mend from Covid.  I’m so very thankful for my sister who is an NP and a rock in our family circle as well as our cautious Pediatrician who pushed us in the right direction early on. The team of Physicians including the Infectious Disease doctor have been very up front and honest with us. This is all new territory to them. Yes, there are other conditions that have used this similar therapy but this exact MIS-C due to post Covid is uncharted. Kawasaki disease may be one you have heard of using this type of therapy. Over the past month this hospital is seeing a quick rise in cases like Zion, some much more severe because they waited so long to come in.
