Thanks for stopping by to learn about Zander. He was born on June 1, 2016 with the most adorably chunky cheeks. His Mama and Daddy, Michael and Tanisha were absolutely smitten with their first born. He spent some time in the NICU and was later transferred to Dell Children's in Austin. At Dell Children's it was found that Zander had Cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart. Dell did an awesome job of caring for Zander, but eventually felt like he needed to be transferred to a facility that could offer more services. Zander was transferred to the Cardiac ICU at Texas Children's and there it was discovered that the type of Cardiomyopathy he had would likely require a heart transplant. The team at Texas Children's is amazing and they tried several medical therapies to help support Zander's heart function. Without acheiving the results they hoped for, they determined that Zander does in fact need a heart transplant. He is now on the waiting list to receive a heart transplant. Along with his diagnosis comes several other potential complications. Because of that, Zander needs lots of prayer! Hence we have created this page as a place for  Zander's Prayer Warriors to check in and see what they can specifically be praying for. We also want this to be a place where we can post praises and answers to the prayers of so many. Your prayers are a treasure and truly pivotal in Zander's life and we are grateful!
