Zailand Adams

Zailand was born on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 at 4:41am. He weighs a perfect 6lbs,4oz and has changed our world. At birth he was unable to breathe on his own or maintain good oxygen levels while on a ventilator. He was diagnosed with Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn (PPHN) and transported to a speciality hospital in San Antonio. We have received numerous requests for updates on Zailand but are overwhelmed with doctors, paperwork and decisions. We wanted to find a way to updated each and everyone of you who have shown your incredible support and love for him so we created a central place to receive updates and hopefully photos along the way. As parents, our thrill for his arrival is currently overshadowed by his ailment. Although our hearts want to reach out to all of you personally the current duress we are under just won't allow it at this time. We just want to hold our son and share him with the world but the time for that maybe a little further than we can see right now. We need time to adjust to being new parents and want to stay lazerfocused on his recovery. We need our strength, our sleep and any opportunity to be alone with our thoughts to process the events of the day. We ask that you abstain for inquiries through text or phone calls until our new family has gained our ground. That being said, we want you all to know that our heart is incredibly full from all of the love, prayers and supportthat has been given to us an our brave little man. It gives us strength in a time where it might be easier to fall weak. However, in lieu of direct contact, we encourage you to leave your positive and supporting words on this page so that we can carry it in our hearts and keep going strong for Zailand. We love you all and can't wait for the day (hopefully soon) we can share our bundle of joy with you!
