On September 19 we ended up in the emergency room with what we thought was an asthma attack. After treating it for six hours we were sent home.
On September 21 I ended up bringing him back to the emergency room, however I had to call the ambulance as I was driving because he could not breathe and he was coughing up blood and turning blue. He ended up being intubated and sent to the PICU. Throughout the night he got worse. The next morning they did a bronchoscope and found a tumor that was completely blocking his trachea.
On September 23 they performed a surgery to remove the tumor. They were unable to remove all of the tumor because of where it was located.
On October 27 they performed another bronchoscope and found that the tumor had grown again blocking the right side of his lung. They lasered the tumor and removed as much as they could.
On November 10 they did a Ct scan and found the tumor was growing again.
Next week we are headed to Boston children's to see specialists and hopefully have a tracheal resection to remove the entire tumor.
