Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Zac was diagnosed with acute myleoid leukemia on July 22, 2015. After several rounds of chemotherapy and biopsies we were then told by Doctors that Zac would need a bone marrow transplant to survive. Zac had been in and out of hospitals since with extreme bone pain and side effects from the disease. We finally received the word on Christmas day that we have an unrelated donor match of a 9 out of 10 from the International registry.  We have a 39 year old male that has offered to donate his stem cells to Zac to save his life! Zac is scheduled for his stem cell transplant on February 26th 2016. We know this is going to be a tough road ahead of us but with family and friends by his side with positive words of hope and encouragement we will get through this and start his road to recovery!!!
