Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Over the past several months, Yvonne’s health has been declining. As many of you know, she has overcome many surgeries and challenges over the last few years. In and out of hospitals and rehabilitation, she has been incredibly resilient! From broken bones, vascular bypasses and grafts, brain tumor and surgery, congestive heart failure and much more, She has always rebounded strong and independent. One tough cookie!

Things got very difficult after a bad fall at the end of May. Yvonne suffered fractures of her left shoulder, wrist and knee, as well as some stitches and many bumps and bruises. She underwent two surgeries to try to repair her leg. Yvonne again showed her strength throughout.

After discharge from the hospital at the beginning of June, her struggles were many. Pain became constant and overwhelming. Yvonne was admitted back to the hospital and ICU on June 21, 2021 with pneumonia and sepsis. She continues to struggle with immense pain. Along with CHF and effects from pneumonia, there is too much to overcome. She, with her family’s love and support, has decided that comfort is the main treatment at this time.

Yvonne was transferred June 28, 2021 to Angel’s Grace hospice in Oconomowoc. We were met with instant comfort and compassion by a great team of providers. She is finally comfortable. Her spirits are good and her smile and sense of humor still shine!

She wants her entire family to know that she Loves you all so much, and to not be sad for her. She is comfortable and at peace. Hugs for everyone!

For all of our family and friends, We thank you for all the prayers and kind words, it is much appreciated.
