Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
So, this is Yolanda's story as seen through my eyes...a sister-in-love, not in-law, and someone who loves her unconditionally and is praying the best for her.  And, at the same time, trusting that God has a plan, not only for her, but for our entire family as we walk through this journey called cancer, together.
This all started when Yolie started having trouble with her vision and trouble seeing the computer around March.  In May,  after they returned from a cruise, she started having trouble walking and they  thought it was "sea legs."  Shortly there after, June 6th, to be exact,  after having difficulty writing, totally unable to even form a letter, they went to an emergency clinic.  After numerous tests, including an MRI, she and her husband returned home.   Within two hours, the ER doctor called her and said she needed to see her doctor in the morning because they found a mass in her brain.   After visiting with her doctor, they were referred to MD Anderson for a neuro-oncology visit.  Numerous tests were run, including blood work, a brain biopsy and other necessary testing to come up with a diagnosis of brain cancer... stage 4 brain cancer...a glioblastoma.
I want to share her story because, I know that it is not only hers and my brother Anthony's story, this is God's story.  This is Him showing us HIs plan through all of this and how we are to respond in the midst of what we see as a storm.  God has a plan for each one of us and as we walk with HIm and hold fast to HIs words, specifically Matthew 11:28-30 - "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will giveyou  rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light," we ask for your prayers.  Prayers that the Lord will carry Yolanda and Anthony as they go through this journey together.  Prayers for our family to come together, trusting in His holy provision, His grace and HIs plan, to help lift  them up as they are on this journey and offer words of encouragement and praise to our Almighty God and Father.
