My name is Alexandra (Xandra), and I am about to undertake the very exciting and daunting task of being a mum to an adorable little baby girl named Sabine. She hasn't come into the world yet, but I can tell, she'll be a force to be reckoned with (in all the best ways!). In my journey to be her mum, I've realized that the saying 'it takes a village' is no joke. I'm now about 9 weeks away from my due date, and it's getting harder and harder for me to do all the things I was hoping to do before her birth: setting up my apartment, getting daycare organized, getting help the first 3 months afterwards & getting a car.
A dear friend suggested I look into setting up a Caring Bridge website to get me started on asking for help-something I'm pretty terrible at doing! Most if not all of you stopping by are going to be my close friends and family, so you already know my story, but what you don't know is that I would be ever grateful for any and all support you all could muster ...anything from just stopping by, checking in on me, helping with building and moving new furniture, moving some boxes, making some meals, taking the baby so I can take a quick shower... all of it, and any of it would be enormously helpful.
So I hope you take a look around, find some things you think you would like to do, and sign up. I'm excited to share my journey with each and every one of you, as you have shared your own journeys with me. I'm honored to have you as my family & friends, and I couldn't have undertaken this crazy task without all of you being part of it.
