On December 9th, 2017 at 7:55PM little Wyatt Connor Guy came into this world 11 weeks premature, weighing 2 lbs 5 oz. When Lauren started experiencing pain that lasted through the night, her and Tyler called the hospital and were told to come in. They discovered Lauren had HELLP syndrome associated with preeclampsia and the pain she was feeling was her liver leaking enzymes. They immediately gave her a shot to help Wyatt’s lungs develop quicker and let her know she was definitely having a December baby! Lauren responded with, “Should I tell my boss I’m not coming to work on Monday?” Around 1 they let her know Wyatt was coming in December and he was coming now. She started on pitocin hoping to deliver naturally but after some time, the contractions put Wyatt in distress and Lauren was told she would need to have a C section. 

Wyatt Connor came into this world crying, much to mom and dads relief, and Lauren was able to see Wyatt and Tyler was able to cut his umbilical cord. Wyatt was then taken to the NICU and Lauren to recovery where she had to stay for 24 hours before being able to see Wyatt again. Wyatt will be in the NICU for the next 2-3 months while he grows stronger. He will need to grow and make progress, especially with breathing and digesting, before he no longer needs the support of the NICU.
