Thank you for joining me on my life-changing journey with cancer. Having worked in the oncology industry for over 20 years, I have had a deep connection to oncology clinics and with those dedicated people who support those living with cancer. But, it wasn't until I actually became someone who is now fighting cancer did this become so personal.
I hope that by sharing my journey and musings with you all, that you come to have a better understanding of what a person fighting cancer goes through - not only the tough times, but also the positive ones. Of course, this journal is only from my own unique perspective, as each person's journey is personal and different.
Having cancer can no doubt be scary and dark, but with the support and love of so many, I know I am not alone in this battle. I refuse to allow cancer to define me. Rather, I am leveraging it to help me better appreciate life every day. And, it is my hope, as you join me on this journey, that I am able to empower you with knowledge to be better prepared for your future relationship with cancer or for that of a loved one.
