On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 Wilson had a massive heart attack at home, he was taken by ambulance to Hanover Hospital where they figured out what was going on and stopped it as soon as they could. The right side of his heart was blocked 100% and the left side was 70-80%. Doctor Gilbert at Hanover put stents in the right side but knew he could not do the other side by himself and referred us to the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Daddy was Life Flighted to Baltimore Wednesday night, but suffered a few complications on the way there.

Once we he got there they were working on him right away, they placed a balloon pump in to help his heart beat and his blood pressure was very unstable and low. Due to the sheer power of the heart attack he suffered his whole body is in shock because of it. They worked endlessly through the night Wednesday into Thursday to stabilize him and make him better. He was on a lot of medicine to keep his blood pressure up and they couldn't figure out why it couldn't and wouldn't stabilize. They sent him in for a cat scan and that showed that he was bleeding internally in his pelvis where they had gone in with the balloon stent. They then went in to see where the bleeding was and what they could do to stop it, but after they went in, the bleeding had stopped on it's own and with the help of blood pressure medicines he was stable and his blood pressure was normal for the first time in 24 hours. They took him off the balloon pump and his heart is VERY weak but it's beating on it's own.

His body is having problems carrying oxygen to where it should go, he's been on a ventilator and they had to give him a lot of blood transfusions because his hemoglobin was low.  As of this morning, April 22, 2016 he has an infection and a fever and they've given him some antibiotics to counter the infection. He's got fluid in his lungs and he's retaining a lot of fluid and not producing as much urine as they'd like. They're going to put him on dialysis to try and get rid of the excess fluid. They're also going to go in and do a heart cath to try and figure out why his blood pressure won't stay consistent or normal.  He's fighting hard and strong for us and we are hoping and praying with everything we have that he is going to pull through this and get better.

Anyone who knows daddy knows just how much of a stubborn and hard headed person he is. He is so strong. He needs all of the positive thoughts, healing energy, prayers and good vibes he can get. All of us are asking that you please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I'll post updates when I know more or different information. It's an hour by hour thing at this point, it'll probably be a while until he's done fighting this so he needs all the help he can get from us.
