Dad suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on Saturday, June 11, 2022. He was spending time that morning working in his garden and he noticed that while he was thinning out the red beets, he didn't feel the stems when he was pulling. Within a few minutes, that same numb feeling continued to progress up his right arm and he went into the house. He asked mom to look at him and tell him if his smile was symmetric. Mom said he looked ok and he told her to call 9-1-1 because he thought he was having a stroke. Fortunately, dad was proactive and was able to recognize the signs of a stroke which allowed him to get to the hospital quickly for intervention. He is currently in the Trauma-Neuro Unit at Penn Medicine Lancaster General. We are using this platform to keep family and friends updated in one place. We have been overwhelmed and continue to appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
