How do I even begin, as these past few days seem to blur together....

We took Will to the ER on Sunday, October 7, with complaints of severe back pain.  He had been to the doctor recently and had an MRI done this past Friday, October 5.  We had a copy of the MRI with us in the emergency room, which revealed possible cancer..  Will was admitted to Presbyterian Dallas last Sunday evening.  After several days of testing, results have revealed a stomach cancer mass just inside the stomach, where it meets the esophagus.  His team of caregivers are wonderful and all working hard to help us get him moved to MD Anderson to implement a treatment plan.  Right now, Will needs prayers for pain management and to help us get it stabilized, as they will not discharge him from the hospital until the pain has stabilized.  MD Anderson (MDA) has a file already started for Will, including all testing and results done here in Dallas, all we are waiting on is a discharge from Presbyterian Dallas and MDA will then set up our initial appointment.  Will's oncologist is hopeful that he will be discharged this Sunday.  We need LOTS of prayers to make this happen!

Stomach cancer is EXTREMELY  rare for someone Will's age (23),  and our hope is that his age and strength will help him BEAT THIS!!!  We have already heard from friends, with family stories of relatives in their 70s/80s that beat it, so we know Will can too!
