On June 16th, Will Steward was in a serious accident near his home in Madison. He was skateboarding with a friend down a hill when he lost control of the board and fell backwards and landed on his back and head. He sustained a serious head injury. Will was transported to the hospital via ambulance, during which time he was in and out of consciousness.A CAT scan was administered shortly after arrival at the hospital. The scan showed a significant skull fracture and a brain contusion. It appears to be a serious injury. The next three to five days are critical, and the physicians are monitoring the pressure on Will’s brain. No surgery is being administered at this time, as Will rests and we observe his condition. Will is currently in the ICU at Huntsville Hospital. His family will be in the ICU waiting room, and will know more tomorrow morning. The family’s immediate needs are, above all, prayer for Will.

We've created this CaringBridge to keep friends and family updated and for Will to look at as he heals. Please post your notes, prayers, words of encouragement and favorite pictures of Will.
