In January of 2021, after 2 major brain surgeries, Will was diagnosed with choriocarcinoma of the brain. His treatment has been complicated by a couple of brain bleeds. In order to address the bleeds, we had to switch up the plan a bit and quickly start radiation therapy. It began in Omaha for the targeted portion ( the original tumor site) but needed to finish up with proton therapy. Unfortunately we do not have this type in Omaha so we had to pack our bags and head south to Houston, Tx. We are so grateful to have landed at MD Anderson. The physicians in Omaha have been top notch and put in many long hours to coordinate his treatment. We look forward to returning to them to finish up with chemo therapy. Will has been so strong and courageous throughout this journey and his positive attitude will get him through. We would like to invite you to join “Will’s fight club” and help him defeat the brain goblins!!
