Will Jordan

Will was in a terrible accident when he fell asleep driving his truck home from work. Two women witnessed the accident and ran to help and call 911.  He was able to tell them to call Rachel (his girlfriend) . He was rushed to St Vincent East as UAB was under diversion. He has a severe concussion. Every bone in his face is broken and he can’t see due to swelling.  Surgery was done the next day and 5 plates were put in his face.  Coming out of anesthesia he has been extremely combative.  He was intubated up to just a few minutes ago.. It took 6 men to restrain him to remove tube. Then he started being combative again and ripping tubes out so security guards were called to restrain him again until they could give him more meds to calm him down.  Laura, his mom, Rachel, his girlfriend and I are in the waiting room waiting till they get him called down.  He is strapped to bed because he try’s to get up.  He has been told he was in a wreck and he wants to leave. He hasn’t been told the extent of his injuries as of yet. Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Will needs many prayers as his injuries are extensive and the head trauma is causing a lot of the combativeness.  His recovery will be many months.. so he will not be able to work or pay his bills for the townhouse he lives in. He has no health insurance because it doesn’t kick in for 2 more weeks.  I will be setting up a page for donations and will keep you informed. Please pray and ask your friends to pray.
