Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. Bill has been home off the road since Valentine's Day 2015, when he came home with a sore toe. Four days later it was amputated and the healing process was slow. In October Bill was hospitalized with pneumonia and a dark spot was seen in his lung. He put off having it checked, but it was finally found to be cancer. It is non small cell, it is stage one, and there is every belief now that treatments will cure him, possibly even without surgery. But we are prepared for the surgery if it comes. Having the support of family and friends is important in Bill's treatment. Thank you for being here for him. Barb
