Bill had been experiencing intestinal problems for a while, and after homeopathic therapies failed to help, he had surgery to remove part of his colon. That is when they discovered the cancer. He has stage IIIb poorly differentiated colorectal cancer. It is fast moving and aggressive, but the doctors say it's treatable. As soon as his incision heals and his staples are removed, he will start on an initial 5 1/2 week daily regimen of chemo and radiation. Unfortunately, the original surgery only removed one tumor. A PET scan revealed there is another. If treatment is able to shrink the tumor, Bill will undergo another surgery to remove it.
