First post: Jul 3, 2017
My husband William has been terminally ill for the past 5 months. I took care of him at home. I was proud to take care of William. It was a privilege to sleep with him so l could hear him if he having coughing spells. Severe pain and jumping nerves in his hands, arms, legs terrible shoulder pain. He started out for the first month he could walk talk sit in his wheel chair. Even sit outside. By February he was losing movement in his his feet and legs. His voice was kinda coming and going. This super rapidly progresssing disease robbed him of everything he loves. He was an outdoorsman he could not go fishing or sit up in his chair for very long are all. December 17th was probably the last time he could work. He was scared but he has never wanted to worry me. See before ALS-LOU Gehrig's Disease William has very rarely been ill with even a cold. He did not like to go to the Dr. I think most Men do not go to the Dr. Because it's there ego they don't ever want to know what is going on with there body. But the end of December he ask me to drive me to the emergency room at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. We waited for 3hours. I ask how long it would be. They said they only had 1 Dr. So will kept sitting there and they had no idea how much longer it would be. They also said all there beds are full. In the whole hospital. Several people had the flu and it was really bad.
