On Saturday, September 28, Will (12), Lucas (10), and Cece (8) Hemmeke were involved in a horrific car accident near their home. Lucas was released later Saturday evening from Helen Devos Children’s Hospital ER with some abrasions and contusions, Cece broke both of her collar bones, had some abrasions, and was kept in the hospital overnight for observation. Will is in critical condition with a bilateral traumatic brain injury. The driver, their 22-year old cousin Marissa Hemmeke, did not survive. We are heartbroken for her family, and in constant prayer over Will. We know that God can do miracles, and we are clinging to that hope.
