Wiley Prather

My name is Krystal (Prather) Tucker.  On February 2, 2016 my dad Wiley Prather, was admitted into the hospital because he was retaining fluid in his adnominal area (he looked seven months pregnant).  While in the hospital he was diagnosed with chronic liver failure.  This was a wakeup call for our family.  We anticipated that this day would come, but it is totally different when reality sinks in.  The doctors determined that he needed to be stabilized and evaluated to determine what needed to be done next.  During this visit, he had 9.5 liters of fluid drained from his
adnominal cavity.

My dad had repeated visits to the emergency room to drain off fluid.  The doctors were doing everything they could via oral meds. However, the doctors told us that meds would be a temporary “fix”.  Nine months later the doctors ordered an MRI.  He was then diagnosed with free cell renal carcinoma.  This is a non-aggressive cancer that can be treated with a one-time treatment.

On March 22, 2017, we received the exciting news that my dad has been placed on the liver transplant list!  As of now, we are on a wait and see time line.  Dad will undergo a “one-time” treatment for his renal carcinoma, which will eliminate any “kidney” complications during his soon to be transplant.

Our entire family has been praying and supporting my dad thru this process.  We ask that you join us in prayer and visit this site often to track my dad’s miracle.  Your comments and well wishes will help our entire family thru this journey.

Blessings
