Dear love ones,

Thank you for your love and support of Whitney! Over the past few weeks Whitney had headaches and some dizziness but didn’t think much of it. Then over the weekend of March 27-29, Whitney had intense head and neck pain. The pain was so intense Sunday night/Monday morning that she could not sleep. On Monday she became nauseous, dizzy and uneasy on her feet. After Andrea checked on her Monday morning, she slept most of the day. Whitney tried to go for a walk and didn’t feel right so came back home to rest. That evening, she developed numbness in her arms and legs and started slurring her words. Andrea took her to the ER Monday night. She had a CT scan that was inconclusive and doctors transferred her to Moses Cone for an MRI on Monday night. Once at Moses Cone, the MRI results showed Whitney had multiple strokes and a dissection at the vertebral artery. Because the vertebral artery is in such a delicate location, her neurologist wanted to see if her symptoms would improve with medication before performing a procedure. Her symptoms improved for a little while and then began to decline. The neurologist recommended an angiogram and potential surgery depending on what they found. They performed  surgery yesterday and it went well.  God provided us a miracle but today she started showing signs of major changes. She is on a ventilator but was breathing on her own.  The doctor called for another MRI around 1:00 p.m. and results were not what we had hoped. The clot came  back and has caused more damaged. We need God to give us another miracle like yesterday for Whitney to be healed. Andrea was able to be with Whitney until Tuesday night at 6:30 and they made her  leave the hospital so for now we have to for updates by phone. Please pray for us all.
