Unfortunately, my earth suit  has another 'chink' in it.  Breast cancer was discovered by a routine mammogram about a month ago.  It has been five years since my last diagnosis, which was promptly addressed with two lumpectomies and radiation.   Interestingly, this is NOT a recurrence, it's a brand new case.  They can tell by the place it returned.  

My earth suit repair option is surgery, which is scheduled for June 27th at MD Anderson in Houston (the body shop).  I will have a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, which is yucky.    Because previously radiated tissue reacts differently in surgery than normal tissue, I'll need to stay close to the hospital for a couple of weeks after surgery.
