Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Jim and I are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. I was diagnosed with breast cancer September 2, 2020 and started chemotherapy October 5. I completed 16 rounds of chemotherapy March 15, 2021! It was a long 6 months for Jim and I and we have been so grateful for all of the love we have felt from friends and family through this journey. We are now preparing for the next big step which is surgery. I am schedule for a double mastectomy April 7, 2021. I will have reconstruction done at the same time. This next step is definitely scary, but we are looking forward to to having the most difficult part of the battle behind us and are so grateful for a path to a cancer-free Wendy! We are so grateful for each one of you and we appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
