Wendy was first thought to have had ovarian cancer a few weeks ago but the doctors told us this was not the case, just a cyst that had burst but would probably need a hysterectomy. But she also had some other spots that needed to be evaluated so she went for 2 MRI's, one of the pelvis and one of the liver.  She got the call to come to her doctors office to discuss the results.  Now they tell her she has rectal cancer that needs to be further evaluated.  She went to see a gastroenterologist this week who did a colonoscopy and confirmed the diagnosis of rectal cancer.  They did a biopsy and more blood work which she does not yet have the results.  On Tuesday September 27, she will see her Oncologist for the first time to determine exactly what is going on and what her next steps will be.

This has been such a crazy roller coaster ride for her and all of us that love her.  The gastro doc says this is very uncommon for someone of Wendy's age to have rectal cancer, so she has that on her side.  She is young and she is a fighter and she will fight this will all her might.  She has three children, Alayna, Madisyn and Jake who are her world,  this gives her even more reason to fight.  We will all fight this fight with her, we are going to knock this cancer out of her.  #letsknockthisout
