Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Wendall's story begins in September a few days before his 70th birthday. He noticed a sharp pain in his head lasting a few seconds and some slight dizziness. The next day he realized he was having trouble finding the words he wanted to use in conversation. As this continued into October, he decided to see a doctor. This was the beginning of many medical appointments, tests, scans and Dr. visits. Eventually we learned that he had three tumors in his brain. A biopsy determined that they were Glioblastomas, a fast-growing tumor originating in the brain. His life expectancy without treatment was only a few months. Treatment with radiation and chemo will extend his life expectancy by several months. Wendall began treatment on Nov. 17 and is doing well at this point.
