For the last 8 months, Julie has been struggling with neck and shoulder pain. After going to the doctor, physical therapy, and the chiropractor, the pain receded but never fully went away. Then, in the middle July, Julie discovered a lump in her neck.
On August 5, 2021, Julie was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma subtype nodular sclerosis stage 2A. The great news is that this is a very common form of Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is highly treatable and curable. However, it will require 4-6 months of chemo and a long term leave of absence from her beloved teaching job. We know there is a long road ahead of us and we are already so grateful for the generous love and support coming from family and friends. We truly appreciate you keeping us in your prayers.
Text messages and phone calls are so kind but can be overwhelming. We will keep this site updated as often as possible. Please come to this page for updates rather than texting or calling. However, if you feel so inclined to help in other ways, please see the “ways to help” tab.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your love and support.
