We ask for prayers, love, and support for John, Connie, Lizzie, Lexie, and Sohail, as well as all of John’s family and friends.
John has received a very difficult diagnosis of stomach cancer, which may have spread to his liver. The oncologist thinks it may be advanced stomach cancer, but will know more after a liver biopsy is performed tomorrow Oct. 25.  The results for the biopsy will be available to John & Connie late next week, and then a treatment plan will be decided.  Today was a difficult day as the doctor presented all the information. The good news was John received a visit from Bishop John Dolan, who gave him the Annointing of the Sick, as well as visits from a Eucharistic Minister who gave John the Eucharist, Sr. Carmen who shared word of comfort and humor, Fr. Brian who prayed with John and the family, and another pastor who shared her words of kindness, healing, and encouragement. Today was full of trials and blessings.
