Seth Permenter SETH STRONG

On November 12, 2016, we began a journey with our sweet son Seth we never dreamed of facing.  Off and on for days prior, Seth had been saying his leg and ankle hurt, which we attributed to typical growing pains in an active 10-year-old boy.  What was different that morning was a lump below his left knee that was not there when he went to bed the night before.  Seth is diagnosed with osteo sarcoma in his left tibia and two spots on his lungs. 

Thursday he begins a 29-week treatment plan to remove the cancer from his body so he can play basketball, attend Texas A&M Veterinary School, and visit Australia.  He will receive his first round of chemotherapy at Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio.  His chemo is intense and we are learning one round involves several hospital stays over a five week period.  Week 11 he will have surgery to remove the tumor and reconstruct the bone. 

Seth may receive visitors at the hospital that are at least 12 years of age, have had their flu shot at least seven days before visiting him, and are healthy.  He will be homebound from school for the remainder of the school year, so he looks forward to visitors of all ages at home that are healthy and have had their flu shot. 

Seth has had a deep-rooted faith in God from a very early age.  Each day he expresses his gratitude and continues to praise God, despite the adversity he is facing.  The love and care that have already been shown to him brings him to tears.  His faith and witty humor are keeping him strong. 

Please continue to pray for healing for Seth, it is what keeps Seth Strong.
