Brian was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease) in February of 2017. His life changed in a moment, when the doctor said "you have ALS". Everyone who knows Brian are devastated by this news. As of today, 10/25/17, Brian is still working at MUD, but he thinks his time at work will probably end in the coming days or weeks, because the cold weather is very hard on a person with ALS. Brian, Marte, Gabby, Noah and Marco are living life to the fullest, and taking one day at a time. Brian is so deeply loved by his family and friends. Right now the main hope we have is for Brian to get on Radicava, the new treatment for ALS. It is the first new treatment for ALS in 22 years. It does not reverse the disease nor cure it, but has been reported to slow the progression of symptoms by 33%. He has been approved for the treatment, now waiting for the Med Center to get it "rolling". We will give updates to all of you, and ask for your prayers for Brian.
