As many of you know John Wayne Prentice is a retired APS teacher, avid outdoorsman, conservationist, taxidermist, father and grandfather. Wayne suffered several strokes on Janurary 7th. Which left him mostly paralyzed on his left side. He is currently unable to swallow and thus has a feeding tube and also a Foley catheter. Wayne is now at the Manzano del Sol skilled nursing facility where he is resting and doing lots of rehab therapy. Wayne is most alert from 9-11 am and 2-4 pm. Wayne loves to have visitors! If he is not in his room please ask the nurse desk where he is. Wayne needs lots of rest in order to achieve his recovery goals so please let him sleep if he is sleeping. We will try to organize visitors so that Wayne has a regular flow of visitors, without overwhelming him.
