Wayne & Nancy Sanderford

First post: Nov 3, 2022

Our parents, Wayne and Nancy Sanderford, home caught fire In the early morning of Sunday, October 30th, around 2:30 am. The fire started in one of the two garages and spread to that side of the home and attic space. It took the firefighters a few hours to completely put the fire out.

The damage is significant - from fire, smoke, and water damage throughout the entire house. Their home will be unlivable for the foreseeable future as they undergo a complete renovation.

Wayne and Nancy are working on immediate next steps and sorting out the damage with a remediation team, insurance provider, and others. They have secured a furnished, temporary home and hope to move in within the next few days.

We've established this site as a means of seamlessly communicating additional needs and gathering messages of support in one location.

Thank you for the calls, texts, and even showing up to serve, love, and support my parents and our family. To say that we are grateful is an understatement. Your support means more than you know, and we treasure you.

Their most immediate need is prayer, as we trust in one thing - that the Lord will somehow bring beauty from these ashes. He is the hope we cling to, our redeemer and rescuer.

..."to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair..."
Isaiah 1:2b-3a

All our love,

Shannon and Brooke Sanderford
