Wayne Irene

On behalf of Lori, Annika, Anders, & Tryggve: we are setting up this site to keep friends & family up to date on Wayne’s new health condition.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement & most importantly prayers for Wayne & his family. 
On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 Wayne had a seizure in the afternoon. He was rushed to Waconia Hospital. Unfortunately, we learned that he has 2 tumors in his brain. He was then transported to Abbott Northwestern Hospital in the Neuro-ICU. After further evaluation, Wayne & his family decided to proceed with a tumor resection. The team at Abbott was incredible with their quick response to get him into surgery right away on Friday. After a very long surgery they were able to remove part of the tumor on his temporal lobe. He came out of surgery well knowing his name & thanking us all for coming. Bless his heart, what a relief! Saturday was a long day of resting & ending with a spaghetti & meatball meal just like Vescios’s, a family favorite!  Sunday has been a day filled with big strides! Thank the Lord, he is good! After a great family visit In the morning, Wayne was moved out of ICU. He has been eating more, wanting to walk, & repeating the same statement of “I’m going to get better!”  

Next steps; we are anxiously awaiting for the pathology report in the coming days that will give us a better plan of attack on these tumors that remain. . Chemotherapy & radiation are on the horizon.  There is a long road ahead, but one that he will fight with all his might. 

We have started this site to keep those that love & know Wayne up to date. He needs Prayer Warriors! Pray lots & pray hard.
