Welcome to our site. We will do our best to keep you up to date with what is happening during and after transplant, as well as share prayer requests and praises. We are very blessed to have you all to share in our journey!

Quick Background: Wayne had a severe E-coli infection as a 2 year old which damaged his kidneys. As he grew, his kidneys could not keep up. Doctors discovered the lasting damage when he was about 16 and told him he would need a transplant shortly (probably within a few years). He is now 25 so we already feel very blessed that he was given almost a decade. Last August, he reached a stage where his kidneys simply could not function so he started peritoneal dialysis (home dialysis). While this is certainly manageable, it is time consuming and difficult to travel or be away from home for more than a few hours. Thus, we are very blessed that Wayne's brother Isaac has volunteered to donate his kidney (Gator and Jonah were also evaluated for donation and many other offered to be evaluated). After much testing, several setbacks, and what feels like a lot of waiting, our surgery is scheduled for April 13th.
