As you probably already know, Wayne was diagnosed with bladder cancer on April 9, 2017.  It has been a long road to get to where we are today-nearly 2 months of lots of pain, pain meds, nausea and medical procedures (ie. stints from his kidneys to his bladder and later Neph. tubes through his back into his kidneys).  Monday, July 3, 2017, Wayne will have surgery at Mayo in Rochester, MN to remove his prostate and bladder.  They will then create a new bladder out of part of his small intestine.  Yes!  Who knew they could even do that!  Rochester has done this surgery for over 30 years so it is nothing new to them.  We hope and pray (as many of you have already been doing for us) that the Doctors use all the skill God gave them and that He will provide healing in all ways as only God can do.

PS.  Many of you have asked what prompted Wayne's trip to the Doctor in the first place.  It started with frequent urination and then kidney pain.  The turning point was when his blood pressure spiked to over 200/100 and we headed to the emergency room.
