Some of you may not know but I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer last September. What a big surprise! I thought I was constipated. And this after having a cast and boot removed from a broken left foot which was my entire summer's medical adventure.
I completed my first round of chemo of 3 treatments on Nov 18th. And just last week I began a different chemo cocktail for my second round.
One of the lessons I have learned over the past few months is one of gratitude and patience. I'm usually impatience and always in a hurry. This is teaching me to slow down my process and appreciate what I already have and how fortunate I am.
I have been really touched by the love and support from those of you that already know of my condition and thought it time to let all of you know. This is my first Caring Bridge experience and as my treatment progresses I hope to keep you updated. Please beware that with ChemoBrain on top of my ADHD you'll never know what to expect!
Please know that I'm taking my "Warrior Woman" mantel (cape) earnestly and am fighting the fight!
