Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.  Walter was diagnosed with stage 2B Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm, a cystic form of pancreatic cancer, and adenocarcinoma of his pancreas on March 14, 2016.  He underwent Whipple Surgery on March 14, 2016, to remove the tumor, his gallbladder, duodenum, 1/2 of his stomach, and 1/3 of his pancreas,  5 of 9 lymph nodes that Dr removed had cancer in them.  He is recovering well, and came home from the hospital on March 21.  He is tolerating frequent small meals, of a diabetic diet.  He still has some pain, but it is controlled by medication. He walks with a walker right now.   I will post updates on this site as often as I can.  Thanks again for your caring and support.  Walter would love to hear from you.
