"I feel like a pansy. It took a train to get my Dad to the Mayo Clinic and look how I got here".

Those were Wade's words upon settling in at Rochester Mayo on Sunday, July 23.  We have family in MN and we are happy to be here.

We started out with great care at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital in Bozeman, MT, where Wade was diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse that needs repair.  The goal is to repair the valve, opposed to replacing it.  Since the procedure is not performed in hospitals in MT, he was referred to the number one cardiovascular clinic in the world, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, to have the procedure done. He was transported by FlightMed Billings.

It is Tuesday morning and Wade looks rested after a night of sleep.  It has been several days since he has had this luxury.

The doctors have stabilized his heart rate and lung fluids giving him a comfortable state while he awaits surgery that is scheduled for Thursday, July 27th.  The clinic has many surgeries scheduled and although I tried “name dropping”, like Chip suggested, they are not going to bump him to the head of the line.

It is amazing how many people love and care about Wade.  Thank you for your support and prayers.  I will keep you updated.
